In the recently held 13th China International E-commerce Conference, Ningbo is listed in the Top E-commerce Cities, together with other 8 cities including Huangzhou, Guangzhou and Wuhan.

    As early as 2000, Ningbo was appointed as a national pilot city in e-commerce. In 2009, Ningbo was honored as Top 10 Cities for E-commerce Business. In this year's selection of top 100 China e-commerce websites, 10 Ningbo local websites were selected. Ningbo has basically become a base for headquarters of e-commerce websites. According to incomplete statistic figures, at present, over 30% enterprises have on-line business. Of the over 10,000 foreign trade enterprises, 95% of them have on-line business.
