  • YouTube was originally founded by Chad Hurley but not without the help of a couple of other co-founders who had been his colleagues for a long time. When the three of them had founded the company they would perhaps not had any idea on how extraordinarily successful it would eventually go on to be.

However, the vision shown by Chad Hurley and associates in investing and sticking to a kind of web service that was pretty much a pioneer in its field when it had first been launched which dates back years is simply commendable. The website had shown great potential which was also materialized when it was still not a part of Google.

It was four years back in 2006 that the website of YouTube was acquired by Google. The famous deal was made and the sale of the YouTube website went on to earn its sellers as much as a billion and six hundred and fifty million dollars from Google.

The website has been on a drive of reorganization over the course of the past few months and this reorganization has as much to do with the readjustment of the manpower as with the technical aspects of the company. In the wake of the re-organization, the company is witnessing the stepping down of its co-founder Chad Hurley. The loyal Google employee Salar Kamangar had been looking after the website since the past few months and is all set to take over as the new Chief Executive Officer.

YouTube has had some goods news in the sad times. The web video service had been banned in Turkey in excess of the past three years of time but the ban has now been lifted. The content that the government of Turkey was offended by had been taken down by third party clients rather that YouTube itself.
