Travel Channel wins domain name dispute

The National Arbitration Forum announced that a ruling has been issued in favor of the Travel Channel ,regarding rights to the Internet domain name wwwtravelchannel.com . The Travel Channel,represented in this case by Halle B. Markus,submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum,asserting legal rights to the disputed domain name.
Complainant owns multiple trademark registrations with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) for its "Travel Channel" and related marks.Therefore they contended that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover,they contended the the respondent registered and used the domain name in bad faith ."
"Respondent’s website resolving from the <wwwtravelchannel.com> domain name advertises links to third-parties who are in competition with Complainant within the travel-related industry. "
"Respondent’s use of the “www” prefix and Complainant’s mark in the <wwwtravelchannel.com> domain name without the period separating the two portions of the domain name is an attempt to attract unsuspecting Internet users, confuse them, and convert them into profit for Respondent. "
The Panel ordered the disputed domain name be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.Todaynic.com International Limited
