The International  Business Machines Corporation (IBM)  has recently won the domain name IBM.com.ro domain name through arbitration .

IBM filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, requesting the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant .
The multinational computer, technology and IT consulting corporation owns not only the trademark registration for the "IBM" mark,but also the trademark registration for the "IBM.com" mark. Therefore, they contended that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark .
Because the complainant managed to demonstrate all the elements required and because the Panel ordered the disputed domain name be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
