Microsoft takes the control of another 12 skype related domains

Microsoft emerged victorious from a domain name dispute regarding 12 Skype-related domain names.The company submitted a complaint with the National Arbitration Forum on November 6,2012 ,asserting legal rights over the disputed domains .
The 12 disputed domain names are : free-skype-download.net, msn-messenger-download.com, powerskype.com, skypefreedownload.org, skype09.info,skype-backup.com, skype--free--download.com, skypehelper.com, skype-secrets.com,skype-sender.info ,skype-wow.info and skype-mail.com.Microsoft owns many trademark registrations for the "Skype" mark all over the world.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark.The company also managed to demonstrate that the respondent has no rights or legitimate interest in the disputed domain names and that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain names in bad faith .Because the respondent failed to submit a response in this prodceeding and because the complainant managed to demonstrate all the elements needed,the Panel ordered the disputed domains to be transferred to Microsoft .You can read the decision here.
