  •      The two lawsuits filed against Apple may cause the company some problems if proven right. The plaintiffs’ main concern is with protecting their personal data and information that most often end up in the hands of advertisers without their consent. The lawsuits were filed by different plaintiffs and are directed against

Apple applications such as the Weather Channel, Dictionary.com, the messaging app textPlus 4 and some of the game applications. One lawsuit was filed in San Jose, California and one in Texas, the one in Texas having more than one plaintiff. However both lawsuits focus on the same idea: privacy violation for iPhone and iPad users. They demand compensatory and punitive damages but the amount was not yet specified.

The plaintiff in Los Angeles is called Jonathan Lalo , an iPhone and iPad owners and he states that he has been the victim of privacy violation. He has made an appeal through his attorney asking all iPhone and iPad consumers to come forward and speak up if they feel that their personal information has ended up in the hands of advertisers without their consent. For now the lawsuits are focused on only eight Apple applications but the number may rise according to the number of people who will decide to come out and speak. The accusations are more serious in the Texas case where the plaintiffs claim that their compute has been turned into a spying device. If these allegations prove right they could result in serious problems for Apple.

Even though the public is expecting a response from Apple, no one from the company could be contacted as the spokesmen are on winter break.
