China sees 18,600 e-commerce websites at Dec

- China saw the number of e-commerce industrial websites continue to grow to 18,600 by December, up 16.13% compared with that at the beginning of this year, according to a report from CNZZ website, the largest third-party data analysis provider in China, sources reported.
Around 350 million netizens visited e-commerce websites last month, accounting for 87.22% of the total netizens.
The number of netizens with online shopping activities showed an increase of 20.15% in 2010, signifying the fastest growth in recent three years.
The number of B2C websites surged 20.45% to 11,800 by December from 10,100 at the beginning of this year. B2C websites account for 62.54% of the total e-commerce websites.
China's visitors purchasing on C2C websites surged 17.49% by December from 15.86% at the beginning of this year. Taobao.com is still the leading online store in China.
As of the end of this month, 1,686 group-buying websites had started operation in China.Source :China Knowledge
