Todaynic.Com Internationa Limited ( www.eranet.com), a leading provider of IP address management infrastructure solutions, announced on June 1 that its chief scientist Paul Mockapetris, who is widely credited with creating the Domain Name System (DNS) 22 years ago, is the 2005 recipient of the prestigious ACM SIGCOMM lifetime award. The ACM SIGCOMM award was initiated in 1989 as a means of honoring computer and communication professionals for outstanding technical achievement in the fields of data and computer communications. The award will be presented on 24 August at the banquet dinner of the annual SIGCOMM conference in Philadelphia.
